Associate Merchandise Planner

Supported by a team of professionals skilled in design, sourcing, production, sales, marketing & distribution of premium quality children’s wear, Haddad distributes globally to 100+ countries and maintains sales and sourcing offices in 22 cities globally, including New York, Paris, Hilversum, Shanghai, Egypt, Bangkok, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, London and Montreal.   

Key Accountabilities:

• Support the development of directed assortments for each segment of   distribution that align with corporate vision
• Support  market research and to identify trends, understand the competitive landscape,   and find product opportunity
• Work with Planning and Sales teams to gather all relevant data for meetings with specified accounts   
• Assist with budget analysis by brand and category to help monitor performance and inventory 
• Support the maintaining and actualizing of financial information to support departmental merchandise strategies 
• Work with Sales to address all sourcing questions and emails to ensure timelines are met 
• Assist with the placement of seasonal buys and opportunity buys while delivering target margins  
• Special projects as assigned 

Required Skills/Abilities/Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Merchandising, Finance or related field
• 2+ years of experience in Wholesale planning and analysis
• Fluent in Retail Math and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills 
• Ability to travel as needed (up to 30%)
• Excellent organizational, communication and presentation skills with attention to detail
