Position Specific Description

They are helping shape our company and how our customers see us. With seven nuclear reactors at four plant sites around the country, today, FPL’s nuclear fleet is one of the largest in the nation. Currently, we are seeking to hire Aspiring Nuclear Operators to join our Operations team at our Turkey Point Nuclear Plant. The team is comprised of experienced professionals in this dual unit nuclear facility which is in Florida City, just 20 miles South of the Miami. The qualified candidate will regularly and customarily be responsible for the monitoring, control and operation of nuclear station equipment for the control room. This includes the following, together with other related and incidental work.
Individuals who are selected to fill these vacancies will enter 18-24 months of initial non-licensed operator training. Once successfully completed, the candidate will assume shift duties on an operations team. This is a shift work position. Preference for applicants who view this entry-level position as an opportunity to progress into license training for a Reactor Operator role.
