Job Description - Associate Operator, Production - Belvidere, NJ

Associate Operator, Production\n\nLocation: Belvidere, NJ\n\nOnsite\n\n12 \u2013 Hour Rotating Shifts\n\nAs an Associate Operator, you will be responsible for operating blending/packaging/storage tank equipment related to material handling and movements within the production operations in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, Standard Operating Procedures, and production schedules.\n\nThis position is overtime eligible. The schedule may be structured with the required overtime component built-in. Candidates must be able to work shifts, weekends, overtime (including coverage) and holidays as required. All candidates, both internal and external, applying for this position understand that overtime may be required and adjusted based on business needs and to ensure continued safe operations.\n\nAt dsm-firmenich people are at the heart of the company. We are committed to equal employment opportunities and value diversity in the workplace.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Operates storage, blending, milling, and packaging equipment to prepare and transfer materials to production through to finished goods inventory. Performs a variety of material handling equipment necessary for the safe and efficient movement of raw/in-process materials and finished goods.\n * With the assistance of a Production Operator able to operate and monitor equipment and processes to produce quality chemical intermediates and finished products to a pre-determined operations plan. Identifies equipment/process problems/ improvement opportunities and communicates findings as appropriate. Makes necessary adjustments to react to process changes or to optimize process performance.\n * Obtains and inspects finished/in-process product and performs sampling and testing as required.\n * Complies with GMP, IHQ-7 and ISO regulations and procedures for packaging, handling, and storage of incoming, in-process and finished goods, including that which is quarantined, released and expired merchandise.\n * Subdivides and delivers batch ingredients utilizing good manufacturing and safety procedures based on production requirements. Receives and stores raw material as per SOP, loads/unloads trucks in an efficient manner that minimizes material damage. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant\u2019s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Hourly $23.00 - $24.00.\n\nIn addition to base salary, we also offer a comprehensive total rewards package, inclusive of annual incentive pay, a retirement savings plan, health care coverage, paid time off, recognition programs and a broad range of other benefits.
