ONLY CURRENT YEAR-ROUND PARKS ASSOCIATE PARK SERVICE WORKERS ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY**


Citywide Services (CWS) maintains and repairs all major facilities including swimming pools, ice rinks and tennis courts. CWS oversees Capital pool, roof and buildings requirement contracts.

Major Responsibilities
- Repair and install fences, sidewalks and playground equipment.
- Mix and spread cement and concrete.
- Cold patch.
- Install and repair Belgian and Hex block.
- Fill post holes with concrete and cement.
- Install steel posts.
- Move, lift and carry heavy objects related to the work site.
- Excavate.
- Assist in guardrail repair.
- Use jackhammer and compressor.
- Lay asphalt.


Qualification Requirements
**This vacancy is only open to current permanent Year-Round Associate Park Service Workers or those on leave from the title.

Salary*: Your current annual salary plus an annual differential of $8,487

Work Location: Aramark Building, 50 East 138th Street, Bronx

- Selection is based on seniority and ability to perform Heavy Duty tasks.
- *Appointees to this position will receive a Heavy-Duty Differential of $8,487, in addition to base APSW salary.

ASSOCIATE PARK SERVICE WORKER - 81106

1. A four-year high school diploma or its education equivalent and 6 months of full-time satisfactory paid experience in gardening, grounds or tree maintenance, or in the building, construction or maintenance trades; or

2. One year of full-time experience in gardening, grounds or tree maintenance, or in the building, construction or maintenance trades; or

License Requirement:

Possession of a Class B Commercial Driver License valid in the State of New York. There may be certain age requirements to obtain this license. Employees must maintain the Class B Commercial Driver License during their employment.
