Job Description - Associate Product Manager, Ad Tech

Condé Nast is a global media company producing the highest quality content with a footprint of more than 1 billion consumers in 32 territories through print, digital, video and social platforms. The company’s portfolio includes many of the world’s most respected and influential media properties including Vogue, Vanity Fair, Glamour, Self, GQ, The New Yorker, Condé Nast Traveler/Traveller, Allure, AD, Bon Appétit and Wired, among others.

Job Description

Location:

New York, NY

Join Condé Nast as an Associate Product Manager, helping drive the technical engine behind our global advertising revenue. In this hands-on role, you will support the optimization and scaling of the ad stack powering Vogue, GQ, Wired, and other iconic brands. We are looking for a high-energy, data-driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to own the "how" behind our programmatic and video success. Your analytical mindset and curiosity will be critical in leveraging AI-driven tools to uncover new revenue opportunities at scale.

Your Daily Impact

  • Hands-on Stack Optimization: Support the management of our core ad tech stack, including Google Ad Manager, Prebid, and Amazon TAM, ensuring seamless integration with top SSPs.

  • Programmatic Execution: Execute daily yield adjustments and monitor auction health to drive premium revenue across our global inventory.

  • Own Your Analysis: Move beyond high-level dashboards; perform deep-dive analysis into bid density, latency, and CPM trends to identify performance bottlenecks.

  • Video & Format Innovation: Support the rollout of high-growth video ad products, focusing on technical delivery and player optimization to maximize fill rates.

  • Cross-functional Execution: Participate in daily engineering standups and work closely with Ad Ops to ensure 99.9% availability of critical ad paths.

  • KPI Accountability: Monitor and report on key metrics: viewability (70%+ target), revenue per session, and page load impact.

Strategic Focus

  • AI & Automation: Assist in the implementation of AI-driven price floors and automated auction mechanics to maximize yield with minimal manual intervention.

  • Yield Tactics: Run A/B tests on header bidding configurations and wrapper logic to improve competitive tension within the stack.

  • Vendor Collaboration: Work alongside strategic partners (The Trade Desk, DV360, Amazon) to troubleshoot delivery and improve demand quality.

  • Product Performance: Balance site speed with revenue by optimizing ad placements and reducing "heavy" creative scripts.

What You Bring

  • Hands-on Experience: 2-4 years in ad tech, programmatic operations, or technical product management with a deep interest in auction dynamics.

  • Analytical Foundation: Proficiency in SQL and data visualization; you prefer doing your own data pulling and analysis to validate hypotheses.

  • Technical Curiosity: A passion for understanding the "plumbing" of the internet—from VAST/VPAID tags to Prebid modules and AI optimization algorithms.

  • Fast-Paced Mindset: Ability to manage multiple workstreams and respond to ad delivery incidents with urgency and precision.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: A track record of debugging complex delivery issues and a desire to simplify technical workflows.

Growth & Development

  • Direct involvement in initiatives affecting Condé Nast’s largest revenue streams.

  • Mentorship from senior product leaders in a high-visibility, 1WTC-based team.

  • Exposure to the latest innovations in programmatic video and AI-led yield management.

  • Clear career progression within a global product organization.

The expected base salary range for this position is from $95,000-120,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
