About Us:  Calumet College of St. Joseph is a Catholic institution of higher learning dedicated to the academic, spiritual and ethical development of undergraduate and graduate students. Position Description: The position requires teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses, field/clinical experiences; mentoring students; and, providing service to the college, profession, and community

Grant funded position; renewable year-to-year through 2029. 

Position Considerations: The Psychology program at Calumet College of St. Joseph has traditionally strived to respond to the community needs and be progressive in curriculum development in response to the changing nature of the discipline. Our diverse university population places us in the unique position to respond to the current American Psychological Association’s (APA) identified need for Black/African American and Hispanic professionals in the field of psychology.

We offer a successful candidate an opportunity to grow and develop professionally. As a smaller program we have the opportunity to provide our students with individualized support as they develop their professional knowledge and skills. We anticipate applying for accreditation of our clinical MA program by the APA and anticipate this position will support that process.

Requirements

The successful candidate will be required to have doctoral degree on Clinical, Counseling or School Psychology and licensed or license eligible as a psychologist in the state of Indiana. We welcome candidates that support the institutional initiatives and the development of new programs. In addition strong, inclusive leadership skills, flexibility, creative problem solving and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the profession is a plus. In the current learning environment, experience in using digital learning management systems (such as Blackboard) and distance learning and online classroom platforms (such as Zoom) is important. Candidates should have demonstrated experience in working with diverse cultural groups in urban environments and teaching/supervision at the university level and having experience in addressing the needs of first-generation college students is highly desirable. 

 

Salary Range:  $45,000-$60,000. 

Eligibility: Employment is contingent upon proof of eligibility to work in the United States, verification of educational records, and a background check.
