Associate Project Manager
to be responsible for supporting the Product Plus Group (PPG) project management team in the execution of Body Shop and Powertrain product plus projects. The Associate Project Manager will start the position by working on internal robot projects in support of Automation System Group (ASG) projects. As experience is gained, they will migrate into execution of customer facing projects which involve more interaction with other internal FAC groups and customers and/or integrators. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, customer-focused, results-driven individual who has proven business management skills and the ability to navigate in a fast-paced environment. Primary responsibilities will include: Execute small product plus projects, normally supported by a mentor PM, depending on the size/complexity of the scope of work. Manage customer interaction and expectations through the length of the project / contract scope of work. Lead / manage cross-functional project teams in Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Planning to ensure on-time and accurate orders that meet customer requirements. Maintain the Robot Tracking Sheet (RTS) for appropriate scheduling and tracking of project units and scope. Schedule shipment of units to customers and integrators. Schedule installation resources as required. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by recognizing and correcting internal and external processes when necessary (including improvements related to project management and Oracle ERP system improvements to allow for simpler user interactions). Ideal candidate will have the following experience/skills and education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical), or related field; or equivalent relevant experience. Experience in automation or application industries. Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods Basic understanding of MRP and inventory control. 2+ years of automation, manufacturing, robot integration, robot installation, or application experience. Fundamental understanding of FANUC product catalog and applications. Knowledge of accounting principles, analysis and reporting of financial data. Oracle ERP System.
