Associate Protein Chemist

Eurofins PSS in San Diego is looking to expand its capabilities in protein generation and analytical characterizations within Protein Biosciences group.  The overall responsibility of the individual will be to assist in protein and other discovery reagents expression and purification, analytical assays of purified proteins, and other related lab tasks to support reagent generation.   

Key Objectives/Deliverables:

• Assist proteins and discovery reagents expression in E. coli and purification using various column separation techniques
• Proficient in routine antibody purification using established platform process
• Independently conduct purified reagent analysis using HPLC and other related analytical assay methods
• Assistance in general lab tasks such as sample preparation, data collection and data analysis
• Appropriate documentation of all experimental results, and the sharing and presentation of obtained results
• Highly detail-oriented, eager to learn new techniques, and maintains high precision in daily lab operations

• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or similar discipline
• Experience in E. coli culture, protein purification and analytical characterizations.

Position is full-time, 8am - 5pm with occasional overtime required.
