The Associate Registrar plays a key role in maintaining the integrity of academic records and supporting the effective delivery of registrar services. This position helps oversee daily operations, ensures compliance with institutional policies and FERPA, and provides leadership support to the Registrar’s Office.
Compensation: $$58,926.40/yr
Worksite Location: NCAT Campus
Oversee daily registrar operations that support enrollment, registration, graduation, and academic records
Ensure accuracy, integrity, and security of student records
Assist in coordinating workflows to improve efficiency and service delivery
Support supervision, training, and development of registrar staff
Provide leadership support and ensure continuity of operations in the absence of the Registrar
Maintain registrar systems, reporting processes, and data management functions
Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure proper implementation of academic policies
Ensure compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations (including FERPA)
Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, and staff
Lead projects, events, and continuous process improvement efforts
Position Requirements:
Associate Degree required
Two years of experience in higher education, preferred. Experience in an academic records office, human resources, compliance and/or regulatory experience, preferred.
Strong familiarity with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
Proficiency with Banner, Student Services module, preferred
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Basic computer knowledge with experience with all Microsoft Office products and programs
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Ability to fulfill all duties with minimal supervision and to work independently
Assess situations rapidly and make logical decisions in a timely manner
Analyze facts and exercise sound judgment
Ability to effectively manage projects and multiple priorities simultaneously
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Problem solving and critical thinking skills
Strong math, spelling, computer, and calculator abilities
Ability to communicate in a professional, calm and courteous manner with the general public and employees
