Job Description - Associate Relations Leader

Summary/Objective


The Associate Relations Leader’s role is to interact with and support the MAU associates assigned to the customer site and ensure that customer key performance indicators are achieved. Specifically manage HR functions with a focus on payroll, performance counseling, and attendance tracking for onsite MAU associates.


 


 


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: 
This is a full-time position working 2nd shift from 3 p.m. – 12 a.m. Monday-Friday. Overtime will be required, as well as periodic coverage of weekends.


Essential Functions


•        Process, verify, and maintain documentation for each employee.


•        Document information regarding absences, investigations, reports on performance, and dates of and reasons            for terminations.


•        Use sound judgment to evaluate risks and seek advice when appropriate.


•        Identify issues and assess problems using a logical problem-solving approach.


•        Identify opportunities for improving and streamlining work processes.


•        Audit and authorize all required paperwork and process payroll.


•        Support new initiatives by demonstrating the ability to focus on positive outcomes.


•        Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.


•        Exhibit flexibility, creativity, consistency, fairness, discretion, and trust.


•        Listen to and use new information appropriately.


•        Daily interaction with client Section Leaders/Managers.


•        Establish a good rapport with client management.


•        Exercise listening, questioning, motivation, influencing, and decision-making skills.


•        Plan for activities related to customer service.


•        Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees.


•        Demonstrate ability to articulate policies, their applications, and the importance of adherence.


•        Facilitate daily team meetings.

Required Education and Experience


·         High School Diploma OR GED


·         2+ years of human resources/employee relations experience


·         Bachelor’s Degree or GED


·         HR Certification (PHR or SHRM-CP)


·         Lean Greenbelt


·         Root cause analysis training

This position can supervise the following positions:


·         MAU Associate Relations Specialist


·         MAU Associates


·         Administrative Support


 


Career Path Progression from this position


·         Site Supervisor


·         Outsource Supervisor


·         Other Corporate Support Functions


 


Work Environment or Working Conditions


The working conditions and environments are created by our customer’s facilities both in administrative areas and manufacturing environments. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Customer sites sometimes include process manufacturing equipment and heavy power industrial vehicles. Environments may vary from non-temperature controlled environments to GMP clean room required. 


 


Physical Demands
This position may require the following to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation:


·         Ability to lift 5- 20lbs periodically and 50lbs on occasion.


·         Ability to stand/walk for up to 12 hours.


·         Ability to climb stairs multiple times a day.


 


Travel


Limited travel will be required, but preferably the ability to travel overnight.
