The Associate Researcher I is a laboratory research position, responsible for independent conduct of routine and standardized experiments. This individual assists in the interpretation of research outcomes, performs assays to support research studies, and assists in the clerical and supply aspects of the laboratory environment.

Responsibilities
Candidate’s responsibilities will be in clinical sample processing and initial analysis involving a whole range of basic and more advanced laboratory techniques. This includes centrifugation, pipetting and preparing sample aliquots, storing and shipping off samples, isolation of peripheral human blood mononuclear cells, cell culture, performing basophil activation tests and whole blood staining on peripheral blood followed by flow cytometry acquisition. Any experience or familiarity with any of the above-mentioned techniques is desirable but not mandatory. Some experience in basic wet laboratory training is necessary. The job requirement for the offered position is five days on-site presence in person.The candidate will also have administrative responsibilities in organizing and keeping track of processed samples and reviewing the EPIC electronic health record to screen for potential candidates and obtain necessary information about participants. In addition, the candidate is expected to perform initial data analysis. Experience with basic and analytical software including that for flow cytometry data is desirable

Compensation
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $58661 - $88236 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
