We are a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing natural killer (NK) cell-based therapies. Our mission is to develop effective, safe, and accessible cell therapies for patients with devastating autoimmune diseases. We aim to develop therapies that patients and physicians can utilize in a community setting. Our lead product candidate, AlloNK®, is a non-genetically modified, cryopreserved NK cell therapy being evaluated in combination with B-cell targeted monoclonal antibodies (mAbs). We believe the compelling cell killing properties of NK cells, when combined with mAbs for targeting, creates an opportunity to generate potentially transformative therapies.
Job Summary: The Associate Scientist, Process Development Analytics will be responsible for completing analytical testing in support of the development of off-the-shelf, allogeneic, natural killer (NK) cell-based therapies. Operating in a cross-functional and dynamic environment, the individual will work closely with the Analytical and Process Development teams to transfer and conduct characterization testing to support Process Development activities. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of conducting analytical testing for cell therapy products.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Conduct routine in-vitro testing to support Process Development experiments and enhance process and product understanding.
Analyze data, interpret results, trend data and maintain detailed records.
Provide data for technical reports, standard operating procedures, and regulatory submissions in support of process development activities.
Manage assay transfer from internal Artiva functional groups to Process Development as needed.
Identify assay and process issues, investigate root cause, and drive troubleshooting through to resolution.
Coordinate activities within a collaborative work environment across functional teams to support process development as well as the characterization of Artiva’s products.
Train Process Development personnel on analytical testing procedures as needed.
Requirements:
B.S. with 8+ years or M.S in a biological field with a minimum of 5+ years of relevant laboratory experience.
Hands-on experience (equipment and software) with flow cytometry, plate readers, and automated cell counters .
Experience with functional assays is a plus
Strong organizational, recording keeping, time management, and communication skills are .
Previous exposure to analytical testing in a Pharma/Biotech, regulated (GxP) environment is preferred.
Experience in cell therapy, immunology, or oncology is strongly preferred.

Base Salary: $ 112,000 - .$129,000 annually. Exact compensation may vary based on level, skills and experience.
