Associate Substitute

Overview:
Molalla River Academy is seeking compassionate, reliable, and community-minded Associate Substitutes to support our classrooms when associates are absent. At MRA, we value a nurturing environment rooted in learning, growing in community, and flourishing with purpose. Our Associate Substitutes help maintain the continuity of instruction and the rhythm of the classroom so students feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.

Responsibilities:

• Support classroom instruction by following associate plans


• Assist with supervision, transitions, and daily routines


• Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment


• Build warm, supportive relationships with students


• Communicate effectively with staff and administrators


• Uphold MRA policies, expectations, and core values


• Provide supervision in classrooms, hallways, recess, lunch, and other school areas as needed

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children or in education preferred


• Strong communication, flexibility, and problem-solving skills


• Ability to remain calm, supportive, and adaptable


• Commitment to MRA’s caring, community-centered philosophy


• Must pass required background checks
