Job Summary: The Associate Technical Consultant will provide high level technical support to various customers. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: -Provide white glove service at the desktop level. -Be responsible for providing clients with a full range of technical support services for their networks, workstations, remote computing, communications, and Internet needs. -Think proactively and provide technology recommendations and solutions to the team. -Identify client challenges and opportunities for improvements and make recommendations to the team. -Coordinates and assigns work projects such as converting new computer hardware or software. -Evaluates expanding or enhanced computer operations; makes recommendations for improvement and upgrades to hardware and software to manage workload and system requirements. -Provides technical support identifying, investigating, and resolving users problems with computer software and hardware for problems that are beyond the expertise of Technical Support Representatives. -Applies knowledge of computer software, hardware, and procedures to solve problems. -Collaborates with other employees to research and resolve problems. -Collaborates with programmers to explain errors and/or recommend modifications to computer programs. -Arranges service by software or hardware vendors to repair or replace defective products. -Develops and communicates department projects and goals. -Maintains knowledge of technology innovations and trends. -Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities: -Proven communication and organizational skills required. -Must have ability to communicate at all levels within an organization. -Understanding of common operating platforms, connectivity, security and storage is a plus.
Education and Experience: -Associate's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. -1 to 2 years experience with maintaining and supporting various technology environments. -Understanding of common operating platforms, connectivity, security and storage is a plus.
Physical Requirements: -Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. -Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. #J-18808-Ljbffr
