Overview - SageSure has an opportunity for a skilled Associate Underwriter to thrive at our fast-growing company. Qualified candidates for this position will enhance their decision-making skills every day, including the use of underwriting judgement, delegated underwriting authority, and support of Underwriting team members.
Core Responsibilities
- Work Service Desk Portal Tickets: e.g., Post-Inspection reinstatement requests
- Underwrite property inspections based on Stack Codes, and review Scrubbed Inspections to ensure previous conditions were resolved
- Work High Priority Service Portal Tickets to verify the producers are following guidelines/authority, as well as new business referrals based on authority.
- Review Carrier Claim Reports and provide Underwriters with detailed claim information
- Perform Renewal Underwriting Reviews of roof inspections and loss history, and provide Underwriters with detailed renewal information
Requirements
- 2 years of Customer Service and/or Underwriting Support experience, with working knowledge of insurance software and MS Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and as a team member while demonstrating solid analytical and decision-making skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Thrives in fast-paced, ever-changing environment, using technology to achieve efficiencies
- Working knowledge of SageSure & partner systems is a plus, including IPC Manager, Inspection Vendors, Carrier Claim Sites, MSB Express, Confluence
- Bachelor's degree in related field is a plus
