Job Description - Associate Veterinarian

Associate Veterinarian – Superior Work/Life Balance, Gold Standard Medicine, Mentorship and Excellent Compensation

Location: Westfield, Indiana
Practice: All-Star Veterinary Clinic
Patients: Dogs • Cats • Exotics (Small Pocket Pets and Reptiles)

About Us

At All-Star Veterinary Clinic, we don’t just treat pets — we celebrate them. Founded by the incredible Dr. Emily King (yes, that Dr. Emily King — you’ve probably seen her on social media!), our clinic has grown into a dynamic 9-doctor practice that’s known for excellence, innovation, and heart.

Our team thrives on collaboration, laughter, and learning. Whether it’s a complex case or a routine wellness visit, you’ll always have a team of brilliant, supportive colleagues at your side.

What Makes Us Shine

Work/Life Balance

One of the perks that sets us apart from other veterinary clinics is our work schedule.  We think that you should have a healthy balance between your personal and professional lives and as such, your work schedule will be Monday through Friday from 7:30 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. with no weekend hours or emergencies. Our doctors have a set schedule that allows for you to plan in the long-term. We strongly believe that when one has a healthy work/life balance the result is not only happier individuals but better veterinarians as well.

Superior Diagnostic Tools

We believe in offering our clients and patients the best veterinary medicine available. We aren’t your normal GP.  We’ll give you access to the best diagnostic tools currently available in order to allow you to practice medicine to the fullest extent possible.  We offer in house CBC and chemistry analyzer, quantitative pancreatic lipase, in-house cortisol, in-house ammonia, imagyst for cytologies/urinalysis, digital radiology, full ultrasound, portable ultrasound probe for FAST scans, tonovet, diamond burr, endoscopy, dental radiology, ECG, doppler, SPO2, phobia, syringe/fluid pumps, O2 cage, monopolar electrocautery, surgical laser, and top of the line anesthesia monitoring equipment. Plus, we have the ability to offer advanced surgery such as TPLOs and even perform chemotherapy.

Your medicine shouldn’t be limited by the tools available to you so we’ll give you what you need to maximize your potential as a veterinarian.

Mentorship

At All-Star you will be given the freedom to learn and develop to your fullest potential both personally and professionally.  We believe that we are not doing our job if our associates do not become better people and veterinary professionals during their time with us.  We encourage all of our associates to pursue those niches that interest them and to build professional skill sets based upon those interests.  At All-Star we’ll support your chosen path with flexible CE allowances and mentorship in order for you to fully develop those interests into a niche in your practice.  There is no limit to what you can achieve here, both as a person and as a veterinarian.

Staff Ratio

Each doctor is assigned their own personal assistant and technician. By serving as mini teams within the hospital, our doctors have the confidence to delegate so they can focus on important tasks.

Outside of their team, a dedicated team of surgery personnel, pharmacy staff, receptionists, greeters, and technician appointment staff are there to support you every step of the way.

Our average staff to doctor ratio is approximately 7:1

Who We Are Looking For

You’re a veterinarian who:

  • Loves practicing high-quality medicine in a supportive, team-first environment

  • Thrives on creating client relationships.

  • Appreciates having structure and creative freedom

  • Values a workplace where your voice is heard and your time is respected

  • Embraces our values of being accommodating, loving, loyal, skilled, timely, atmosphere (culture), reliable

Why You’ll Love It Here

At All-Star we strive every day to do things differently and challenge the status quo. We do that by placing an extreme emphasis on client satisfaction, by making sure that our employees have a joyful and dynamic environment in which to work, and by doing everything we can to maximize the bond between our clients and their animal companions. Our mission is to make people’s lives better through the practice of veterinary medicine and we work toward that goal every day.
