Job Description - Associate Veterinarian

Position Overview

Seeking an Associate Veterinarian to provide high-quality medical care in a small animal general practice. The role includes wellness exams, medical cases, and surgical procedures while building strong client relationships and contributing to a collaborative clinical team.

Practice Overview

  • Small animal general practice environment
  • Average 12–20 appointments per day
  • 3–4 support staff per veterinarian
  • Balanced caseload including wellness visits, sick appointments, and surgery
  • Modern diagnostic and treatment equipment, including digital radiography, ultrasound, an in-house laboratory, and a dental and surgical suite
  • Supportive, team-oriented workplace culture

Compensation & Benefits

  • $120,000 – $140,000 annual salary with production bonus opportunities

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform wellness exams, diagnostics, and treatment plans for companion animals

  • Conduct routine surgical and dental procedures

  • Utilize diagnostic tools such as imaging and in-house lab testing

  • Educate clients on preventative care, treatment options, and long-term pet health

  • Maintain accurate medical records and collaborate with support staff

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent from an accredited university
  • Strong commitment to patient care and client communication
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a supportive team
  • New graduates and experienced veterinarians are encouraged to apply
