Job Title: Associate Warehouser, VA

Pay Rate: $17/hr - $20/hr (depending on experience)

Hours of Work: Monday - Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm

Location: 1140 Azalea Garden Rd Norfolk, VA 23502

Job Summary:
Assist pulling orders, cleaning, and packaging in the warehouse. Drive a flatbed truck in the Norfolk, Virginia area to make daily deliveries for metal products manufacturing distributor. Oversee loading of truck, strap down materials, perform daily vehicle inspection, and verify paperwork for loads. Operate fork trucks. Deliver orders to customers. Assist pulling orders, cleaning, and packaging in the warehouse.

Requirements To Be Considered For Position:

Required Essential Job Skills/Experience:

1. Must have valid Virginia State license, class D (CDL not required).
2. Must be at least 21 years of age.
3. Must have reasonably clean driving record in accordance with company policies.
4. 1-2 years of related experience with flatbed driving.
5. Experience tying loads down with straps.
6. Experience tarping loads for weather.
7. Ability to read, write, and understand English.
8. Ability to operate fork trucks.

Required Essential Job Functions/Duties:

1. Make local deliveries of metal goods according to routing schedule.
2. Pick up metal from customers and other company locations within Virginia State.
3. Complete vehicle inspection report daily prior to leaving on route.
4. Strap down loads on flatbed trailer to assure safe delivery and compliance with state regulations.
5. Drive in a safe and courteous manner.
6. Oversee loading of truck and verify paperwork.
7. Operate forklift.
8. Pull orders, clean, and package materials in warehouse as needed.
9. Work overtime as needed.
10. Other tasks as needed.

Desirable Job Skills/Experience:

1. Familiar with Norfolk, VA area.
2. Previous warehouse experience.
3. Previous experience driving a truck and forklift.
