Job Description - Assurance Manager

Workforce Solutions partners directly with leading small to mid-sized CPA firms across the United States to connect them with top talent in the public accounting industry. We are currently working with a well-established and growing public accounting firm in Georgetown, Texas that is seeking an experienced Assurance Manager to join their team. This position is onsite with a hybrid option available after peak audit season.


What's the role?


Assurance Managers play a critical leadership role in managing client relationships while overseeing audit and assurance engagements to ensure high-quality work products are delivered in accordance with professional standards and firm policies. This includes:




  • Leading audit and assurance engagements, including resolution of complex accounting matters.




  • Performing detailed technical reviews of reports with full disclosures.




  • Reviewing and overseeing preparation, compilation, and review engagements.




  • Serving as the primary point of contact for assigned clients.




  • Coordinating internal and external resources to meet engagement timelines and client expectations.




  • Managing multiple engagements concurrently.




  • Reviewing and consulting on complex transactions.




  • Coaching, mentoring, and developing staff to build technical and professional skills.




  • Delegating work effectively and ensuring direct reports meet performance expectations.




  • Identifying opportunities to provide additional services and cross-sell firm offerings.




  • Demonstrating a basic understanding of the business operations of a public accounting firm.




  • Adhering to firm policies and holding team members accountable to the same.




What experience and skills do I need to be successful?




  • CPA required.




  • 8+ years of experience in public accounting.




  • Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP, U.S. GAAS, SSARS, and assurance standards.




  • Strong technical review, analytical, and problem-solving skills.




  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities.




  • Proven leadership, coaching, and team development experience.




  • Strong client communication and relationship-building skills.




  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound professional judgment.




Compensation


Salary Range: $110,000 – $125,000 (based on experience and past performance)


Additional Compensation Opportunities:



  • Retention Incentive Compensation Plan (paid at Years 1, 5, 10, 15, and 20)

  • Employee Referral Bonus (ranging from $2500 to $10k)

  • Quarterly Team Production Incentive Bonus Program
