UNRL is looking for an Athlete + Brand Relationships Manager to lead our individual partnerships and community engagement efforts. This role is responsible for managing and developing relationships with athletes, influencers, affiliates, and community partners to elevate brand awareness and strengthen UNRL’s market presence. The ideal candidate has a strong marketing background, specifically as it relates to partnerships (preferably within the sports industry), and excels in relationship-building, negotiation, and execution. They will also play a key role in executing our influencer seeding strategy, assisting with events and activations, and managing our partnership budget to maximize impact. 

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the UNRL Athlete Program (40+ athletes across various sports and disciplines), developing relationships with key athletes and ensuring alignment with brand objectives.

Oversee the partnership budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources for maximum brand impact.

Develop and execute strategies for the affiliate program, optimizing partnerships to drive brand growth.

Drive influencer seeding & strategy, executing outreach and product seeding initiatives to increase visibility.

Lead negotiations with athletes, partners, influencers, and affiliates to secure beneficial agreements.

Facilitate media relations, working with news outlets to generate positive press and brand coverage.

Assist in planning and executing events & activations, ensuring seamless brand representation at key moments.

Collaborate with Marketing and Sales teams to integrate athletes into broader brand campaigns (NFL, NBA, F1, etc.)

Oversee all individual athlete partnerships including contract creation, compensation, and deliverables.

Coordinate athlete photoshoots and content days to maximize visibility and engagement with our marketing team.

Manage and track all athlete and influencer assets, ensuring UNRL uses the purchased assets to the fullest extent throughout a contract term.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in partnerships, brand marketing, or influencer relations; sports industry experience is a plus.

Strong network and understanding of relevant athletes, influencers, and brand partners.

Proven ability to negotiate partnerships and manage partnership agreements.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Ability to manage high-profile relationships with professionalism.

Experience with budget management and resource allocation.

Ability to work collaboratively across teams and execute brand activations effectively.

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Passion for sports, lifestyle, and brand marketing.

The starting salary for this full-time position is between $75,000 and $105,000, based on qualifications. However, there is a broader salary range that allows for future growth and advancement. Salary levels are determined by factors such as the role, experience level, and job location. Within the established range, compensation is influenced by skills, competencies, relevant experience, education, training, and market demand.
