Join our Athletics team as an Athletic Coordinator and help bring our youth and adult sports programs to life! This exciting position supports the Athletics Department by assisting with staffing, working alongside volunteer coaches, and helping run in-house leagues like t-ball, basketball, and soccer, as well as adult men’s basketball. The role includes working four weekdays and Saturdays, approximately 20–25 hours per week—don’t miss your chance to make an impact through sports!
Assists the Athletic Supervisors with creating, organizing, promoting, planning, and evaluating assigned athletic programs.
Collects and processes team and participants’ payments for various athletic programs
Assists in preparing coaches’ packets, coaches’ and players’ manuals, and other informational materials as directed
Assists Athletic Supervisors with uniform ordering and distribution, as needed
Word processes a variety of documents, forms, and reports
Attends work regularly
Performs the job safely and in compliance with District policies, procedures, work and safety rules, and the employee handbook
Maintains a clean and organized work environment
Additional functions as assigned, which may be considered essential
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Experience supporting athletics program development and operations.
Proficient in organizing and maintaining clerical and digital records, and generating reports.
Strong communication skills to handle inquiries via various channels and interact professionally with staff, vendors, and the public.
Committed to delivering excellent customer service and promoting Park District values.
Able to work independently with general guidance and manage time effectively under pressure.
Team-oriented with leadership abilities and the capacity to build positive working relationships.
Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to maintain composure in challenging situations.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other basic computer applications.
Sound judgment, problem-solving, and confidentiality awareness.
Ability to pass defensive driving training and travel between Park District sites.
