Senior Athletic Trainer - Sports Medicine Specialist

Position Overview

As a Senior Athletic Trainer, you'll play a vital role in our sports medicine team, providing expert care and injury prevention services to athletes while working in both school systems and clinical settings.

Essential Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive athletic injury prevention programs
• Provide emergency care and treatment of athletic injuries
• Conduct athletic training evaluations and assessments
• Design and supervise rehabilitation programs
• Coordinate with physicians, coaches, and parents regarding athlete care
• Document patient care using electronic medical records
• Provide event coverage as specified in Health System contracts
• Maintain inventory of athletic training supplies and equipment

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field (Master's preferred)
• Current New York State Athletic Trainer Certification
• NATABOC Certification
• Current BLS Certification
• 21 years of age or older (NYS requirement)
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
