Athletic Trainer (26-27 School Year)

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Athletic Director, the Athletic Trainer will be responsible for the following:

• Treatment for all athletic injuries; referring injuries to physician if needed.
• Supervise and build appropriate rehabilitation and strengthening programs for student-athletes recovering from injuries.
• Coordinate hydration for all teams during practice and games.
• Evaluate and determine capability of student-athlete participation in game and/or practices after an injury is sustained; Determine when a student-athlete can be released back to practice and/or competition.
• Accurate completion and organization of appropriate documentation for all injuries treated.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications - Experience, Skills & Knowledge

• A Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training is required; Master’s degree preferred.
• At least one (1) year of experience, ideally in a high school, college, or university setting.
• Current licensure is required.
• First Aid and CPR certifications required.
• Familiar with industry best practices and guidelines
• Able to work various hours during the week, including weekends, evenings, and over holiday breaks
• Able to travel to local competitions as needed.
• Successful track record of working effectively with a wide range of constituencies including students, faculty, staff and parents.   

Compensation and Benefits:

This position is an hourly, 12-month position, available immediately.
