Athletic Trainer - Long Term Substitute

Landon is seeking a qualified and motivated Athletic Trainer to provide parental leave coverage from August 14, 2026 through October 5, 2026. This is a temporary position with hours that vary based on athletic coverage needs, including practices and competitions. This position reports to the Head Athletic Trainer and the Athletics Director.

Responsibilities Include

• Providing athletic training services for assigned athletic teams, including injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation
• Covering practices and home athletic contests as scheduled
• Communicating effectively with coaches, student-athletes, parents/guardians, and medical professionals
• Maintaining accurate injury and treatment documentation
• Assisting with emergency action plans and return-to-play protocols

Schedule 

• Hours will vary depending on coverage needs

Compensation

The expected hourly rate for this position is $35.00 - $45.00.

• Current certification by the Board of Certification (BOC)
• MD state licensure (or eligibility) as required
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Experience in a secondary school or collegiate setting preferred, but not required
