Skiptown is growing our Dog Training Program — and we’re looking for an experienced, passionate trainer to help lead the way. This is more than just training sessions — this is about building trust, relationships, and a reputation for training excellence in the Atlanta dog community.

We’re looking for a trainer who loves working with both pups and their people, is energized by growth, and is excited to be part of a team building something from the ground up. Trainers receive an hourly wage and commissions on all sessions!

  You’re passionate about positive reinforcement, science-backed training methods, and helping people understand their dogs better.

  You’re a natural communicator who loves coaching pet parents just as much as working with their pups.

  You’re flexible, collaborative, and ready to help build a program, not just clock in and out.

  You’re self-motivated, organized, and comfortable managing a part-time schedule while client demand grows.

  
  


• 
  

  You’re tech-friendly and able to manage schedules, session notes, and communication through Skiptown’s systems.

  
  

• 
  

  Deliver private training sessions customized to the goals and needs of each client.

  
  


• 
  

  Support group classes as we grow the program (puppy classes, basic manners, specialty workshops, etc.).

  
  


• 
  

  Guide pet parents through their dog’s progress with clear communication and thoughtful follow-up.

  
  


• 
  

  Provide input and ideas as we expand Skiptown's training offerings, events, and packages.

  
  


• 
  

  Represent Skiptown’s experience standards with every client interaction — creating loyal fans of our brand and our training program.

  
  

• 
  

  At least 1 year of professional dog training experience (group or private).

  
  


• 
  

  Formal education or certification in dog training preferred (CPDT-KA, KPA-CTP, or similar).

  
  


• 
  

  Strong communication and customer service skills — this role is as much about people as it is about dogs!

  
  


• 
  

  Positive reinforcement training philosophy required.

  
  


• 
  

  Comfortable working in a dynamic, growing environment with evolving processes.
