Atlassian Engineer

As a member of the Business Technology team, the Atlassian Engineer will be responsible for administering, developing, and maintaining our Atlassian products and integrated tools. This includes troubleshooting any problems related to the applications, working collaboratively with other team members, identifying improvements, and ensuring the functional and technical requirements are met. 

The ideal candidate should be able to quickly switch between high-level strategic design, application administration and hands-on development work depending on the use case and priorities on hand. Willingness to learn new technologies is a must.

Working schedule: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Key responsibilities:

• Administration:
• Installing, configuring, and maintaining Atlassian products
• Managing user permissions and access levels 
• Customizing workflows and fields within Atlassian tools 
• Implementing and managing marketplace apps, add-ons and integrations 
• Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues 
• Data migration and backup management 
• Security 

• Development:
• Writing custom scripts and automation using Atlassian's APIs (e.g., Java, Python, REST APIs) 
• Building custom workflows and custom fields 
• Developing custom integrations with other systems 
• Creating custom reports and dashboards 
• Contributing to the development and maintenance of custom add-ons 

Required skills:

• Proficient in Atlassian products: Deep understanding of Jira, Confluence, Tempo, and their administration features 
• Scripting and development skills: Experience with Java, Python, or other programming languages to interact with Atlassian APIs 
• Problem-solving and analytical skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to Atlassian tools 
• Communication and collaboration: Effective communication with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions 
• Security: Familiar with the Atlassian security model, roles and permissions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of proven experience with Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence and user management.
• 2+ years of development experience with a coding language (e.g., Java, Python, Jira APIs).
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Service orientated
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken, to align with multi-cultural and multi-lingual sites.
• Knowledge of Tempo is desirable.
