ATP Custodial Station Attendant Supervis

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for performing all supervisor duties over the custodial station attendant department and its employees.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Promotes guest service to ensure customer satisfaction through prompt, efficient, and quality staff service


2. Oversees and maintains custodial operations on shift, including appropriate staffing for business needs.


3. Responsible for custodial operations within ATP as well as outside in the fuel area, propane station, parking lot, etc.


4. Responsible for supervision of staff, conducting performance evaluations, counseling, training, and disciplinary actions.


5. Develops, monitors, and routinely inspects daily cleaning assignments against established performance standards, including cleaning bathrooms, walls, carpets, parking lots, fuel areas, and other assigned areas.


6. Communicates with co-workers and manager, regarding operational concerns, staffing needs, maintenance needs, and/or reports and participates in meeting business goals and objectives.


7. Promotes effective communication through daily communication with all employees, in staff meetings, informational logs, e-mail, written materials, etc.


8. Compliance with regulatory laws, employee handbook, department policy and procedures, safety codes, etc. Administers policies appropriately and consistently.


9. Routinely monitors shifts, and addresses priorities.


10. Participates in staff training and development by assessing daily functions and performance training needs and communicating needs with the manager.


11. Ensures that the operation of equipment, tools, and materials is handled safely.


12. Promotes a clean, safe, and healthy work environment for employees and guests. Promptly addresses hazards and reports all concerns to the manager.


13. Promotes internal guest service standards by treating employees with courtesy and respectful behavior.


14. Other related duties as assigned or directed.

ACCESS TO SENSITIVE AREAS:

1. Registers, Safe, controlled storage, personnel files, and financial reports.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. One (1) year of supervisory experience.


2. Two (2) years of retail or convenience store experience.


3. Experience with cleaning equipment, materials, and cleaning practices. Knowledge of the SDS book and its content utilization.


4. High school diploma or GED or 10 years’ experience.


5. General knowledge of computers and a thorough understanding of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook.


6. Employment history that demonstrates dependability and longevity.


7. Effective communication skills both verbal and written, ensuring the ability to read and follow directions on equipment, cleaning chemicals, and written instructions.


8. Requires strong problem-solving, decision-making, and cash-handling skills.


9. Reliable to work all shifts including day shift, swing shift, weekends, holidays, afternoons, and evenings.


10. Stand and/or walk for long periods; perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers; and maneuver and lift a minimum of 40lbs. chest high.


11. Requires a criminal history background check.


12. Must be at least 18 years of age.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Two (2) years of supervisory experience in retail, convenience stores, or high-volume truck stops.
