ATSU - Boiler Plant Operator

A.T. Still University (ATSU) is seeking a non-exempt, full-time Boiler Plant Operator for the Kirksville, Missouri campus. A Boiler Plant Operator maintains and operates boiler and ancillary equipment. This position reports to the Boiler Plant Supervisor. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain and operate boilers and ancillary equipment.
• Perform minor repairs.
• Record Keeping.
• Water sample testing.
• Custodial duties.
• Inventory and stock supplies.
• Checking underground storage tank.
• Checking off sites.
• Boiler tear down and cleaning for inspections.
• Transport hazardous chemicals (water treatments) short distances across campus.
• Monitor chemical treatment and report issues.
• Perform occasional fabrication.
• Some general construction tasks.

• Mechanical, electrical, and controls.
• Pipe fitting.
• General construction.
• Steam service and distribution. 
• Record keeping.
• Water treatment and testing.
• Basic computer skills.
• Underground storage tanks.
• Emergency generator operation.
• Hand, power, and specialty tools.
