Senior Trial Attorney (Contract)

Position Summary

Seeking an experienced Senior Trial Attorney to lead complex automotive products liability cases in a fast-paced, trial-forward environment. This is a fully on-site, full-time role (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM) for a seasoned litigator who thrives in high-stakes litigation, drives case strategy through verdict, and mentors litigation teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage trial teams on complex product liability matters

• Serve as first or second chair in jury trials (state and federal courts)

• Take and defend depositions; handle mediations and court hearings

• Work closely with expert witnesses and utilize litigation technology

• Develop a case strategy and mentor associates and staff

Required Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school

• Active California Bar license

• 10+ years as a practicing attorney

• 5+ years of litigation and trial experience

• First or second chair trial experience strongly preferred

• Strong legal writing, analytical, and leadership skills

• Comfortable in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment

Compensation & Work Structure

• Hourly Rate: $84.13 – $96.15 (based on experience)

• Billing Requirement: 150–160 hours per month

• Work Model: Fully on-site
