Job Description
- Represent employees in discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblower, wrongful termination, and related employment matters
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and other litigation documents
- Conduct legal research and help develop case strategy
- Participate in and prepare for depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials
- Communicate directly with clients and provide clear guidance regarding their workplace rights
- Work collaboratively with attorneys and support staff throughout all stages of litigation
- Manage deadlines and case responsibilities with strong attention to detail
- Contribute to individual, class action, and other complex employment matters
Qualifications
- Active California State Bar membership in good standing
- 1+ year of employment law experience
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Strong legal research, writing, drafting, and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal communication and client service skills
- Employment litigation experience involving depositions, motion practice, or trial preparation preferred
- Plaintiff-side employment law experience preferred
- Genuine interest in employee advocacy and workplace justice
