Overview

This position supports a busy New York City litigation practice and offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of insurance defense matters. The role is well suited for an attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys collaborating with a team while gaining hands-on litigation experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle insurance defense litigation matters at various stages of the case lifecycle.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery materials, and internal legal memoranda.
• Participate in depositions, mediations, hearings, and settlement discussions.
• Work closely with attorneys, clients, and insurance carriers to support case strategy.
• Conduct legal research and assist with trial preparation and case development.
• Track deadlines and ensure compliance with New York court rules and procedures.

Qualifications

• Active admission to the New York Bar.

• Litigation experience in insurance defense or a related practice area.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Preferred

• Trial or courtroom experience.

• Prior experience working with insurance carriers.
