Attorney - Law Firm - Privacy and Data Services

Our client, a well-known regional law firm with a national presence is seeking an Associate or Counsel level Attorney - Privacy and Data Security to join their office in Buffalo, NY.  The ideal candidate will have four to ten + years of experience in all aspects of data security, including but not limited to:
 

• Breach notification requirements under federal and state laws
• Privacy and breach notification policies
• Data security/Privacy risk assessments
• Strategies for and avoiding a data breach or loss
• Contracts with data security and privacy concerns
• Organizational breach readiness 
• Comprehensive privacy management programs
• Crisis management and remediation in response to a data breach
• Internal investigations arising out of a data breach, including interaction with law enforcement and regulators
• Indemnification and insurance claims
• Potential litigation related to data breaches
• Transactional due diligence concerning privacy and data security

The firm would also be open to speaking with Partner level candidates as well.

The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $123,000 – $155,000. Actual base salary will be based upon criteria such as experience, qualifications and skill level.
