Job Description - Attorney - Medical Malpractice

Associate Attorney - Medical Malpractice - Hybrid

We are looking for an Associate Attorney to join our Hartford, CT office, focusing on medical malpractice. You will be part of a team that values problem-solving and caring for our clients. This position offers some work-from-home flexibility, helping you balance work and personal life while reaching your career goals.

Pay from $105,000 to $130,000 annually.

A Day in the Life - Malpractice Associate Attorney

  • Handle your caseload from start to finish.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests while keeping track of deadlines. 
  • Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials.
  •  Communicate with clients, experts, and fellow attorneys, providing updates on their cases. 
  • Conduct legal research and write memoranda to support your case strategies. 
  • Work with senior attorneys will help ensure smooth case management.  

What Matters Most

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school and be admitted to the Connecticut State Bar or have a sufficient UBE score. Aimed at candidates with 1 to 6 years of medical malpractice defense litigation experience, clerkship experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in drafting and arguing motions, along with strong legal research and discovery response skills, is essential. Advocacy skills are important for mediations, arbitrations, trials, and hearings.
  • Attention to detail, prioritization, and effective communication are crucial for success.
