Job Description - Attorney, Plaintiffs' Personal Injury/Medical Malpractice

Marin County based firm, widely regarded as one of the top small-sized personal injury and medical malpractice firms in the Bay Area, is seeking to add an attorney to their growing team.

Primary duties:

The position calls for the attorney to run assigned personal injury cases on their own (with support from the firm’s paralegals and office manager). The attorney will handle depositions, written discovery and any pre-trial motion work, working the cases up from intake to

settlement discussions and/or trial. You will also support other attorneys at the firm by contributing to legal research, demand letters, brief writing, record review, etc.  Firm does not require that the candidate have trial experience, although such experience will certainly be an asset, as will the ability to speak a second language. Experience arguing law and motion and

particularly taking depositions will also be helpful.

This is a good opportunity for someone who wants to build a career working at a progressive-minded law firm, advocating for clients who really need help. Firm is seeking someone who would like to contribute to the continued long-term success and growth of the firm and be rewarded for that contribution accordingly. The position is available immediately.

Qualifications:

You must be a member of the State Bar of California with a license in good standing. The ideal candidate will have at least three years prior personal injury and/or medical malpractice litigation experience on either the plaintiff or defense side, however candidates with less or different experience will be considered. Firm will potentially consider exceptionally qualified recent law school graduates with a strong academic record and work record, and an authentic interest in this area of practice.
