ACCOUNTABILITIES:  

· AV System Design 

· AV Proposal Creation 

· Accuracy 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:  

• Collaborating with sales, project managers, and partners to design and develop tailored AV solutions that meet client needs 
• Conducting site surveys, when applicable, to gather technical information critical for accurate system design and proposal development 
• Creating and maintaining proposals using D-Tools (this is technically not on design, currently it is a shared. responsibility amongst AV so I recommend removing that statement), scope, and documentation are aligned 
• Supporting the pre-sales process with preliminary system drawings when requested, modeling, and documentation 
• Producing complete system designs to include the bills of materials, scopes of work, AV drawings, and rack layouts when required. 
• Working closely with AV Drafters to deliver comprehensive design documentation, such as schematics, elevations, and AV plans. 
• Participating in client and partner meetings as a technical representative 
• Safeguarding confidential information, including client relationships, project data, and company IP 

Requirements

WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE: 

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent industry experience 
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in the Audio-Visual industry, with a focus on systems design 
• Familiarity with key AV platforms and components, including: 
• Crestron, Extron, and AMX control systems 
• Cisco, Polycom, Lifesize, and other VTC systems 
• Biamp, ClearOne, QSC, Shure MXA, Dante, and AES67 standards 
• Experience working in D-Tools (preferred but not necessary) and proficiency with Windows OS and Microsoft Office Suite 
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD; experience with AV drawing production is preferred 
• Understanding of network topology and the ability to integrate AV over IP systems 
• Ability to interpret construction documents and align AV designs with architectural and MEP infrastructure 
• Familiarity with installation practices for ceiling- and wall-mounted AV equipment, rack assembly, cabling infrastructure, and AV terminations 
• Ability to read and interpret Crestron, AMX, or Extron control code is a plus, but not required 
• Strong time management and project coordination skills across multiple, overlapping deadlines 
• Professional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage confidently with clients, vendors, and internal teams 
• High attention to detail and commitment to process accuracy 
• A continuous learning mindset with a commitment to maintaining current knowledge of emerging AV technologies and pursuing certifications as needed 
• Willingness to travel up to 10% as required by project demands. 

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and stoop. The employee may occasionally lift and /or move up to 20 pounds. This position may require travel between offices, jobsites, and/or client locations, which may involve extended periods of sitting or standing, lifting light luggage, and adapting to different time zones.
