Job Description - Audiologist Hearing Instrument Specialist




Live Better Hearing + Balance is a leading audiology clinic with multiple locations across Virginia, Maryland, and New Jersey. The practice is dedicated to offering medically and scientifically sound testing and treatments with a compassionate approach to patient care.



Position Overview



Live Better Hearing + Balance is seeking a dedicated Audiologist or Hearing Instrument Specialist to join their team in Rockville, MD.







This role includes a mix of diagnostic audiology, vestibular assessments, and hearing aid dispensing. The ideal candidate is committed to applying the highest standard of care throughout the patient journey, while incorporating the latest hearing healthcare technology and personal care.

Key Responsibilities



  • Conduct diagnostic hearing evaluations for adults and children ages 5+

  • Perform vestibular assessments and contribute to balance care programs

  • Dispense, program, and fit hearing aids

  • Administer and interpret audiological tests, develop treatment plans, establish goals, and recommend appropriate solutions

  • Provide exceptional patient experiences through active listening, education, and counseling

  • Maintain professional credentials and CEU requirements, and stay informed on industry developments

Qualifications



  • Audiologist: Au.D. or master’s-level degree in Audiology, with current state licensure (or eligibility)

  • Hearing Instrument Specialist: Current HIS licensure (or eligibility) in Maryland

  • Strong clinical skills with the ability to make decisions and solve problems independently

  • A patient-first approach and strong communication skills
