Audiologist - Rapid Progression

The position is responsible for delivering aural rehabilitation to attain or maintain the highest functional audition level for each resident/patient/client. This care includes procedures to identify, diagnose, prevent, ameliorate or modify hearing loss and its accompanying handicapping conditions in accordance with the Department’s care delivery systems for efficient and effective delivery of care. The Audiologist cooperatively works with the resident care team.

Onsite - Riverdale, Bronx, NY - 4 days/week - flexible schedule

Large Geriatric Continuum of Care Facility

Performs duties by ASHA’s accepted standards of care, its scope of practice, and code of ethics.

Evaluate the status of the auditory function of residents as ordered by Unit MD.

Performs audiological assessments including pure tone audiometry, speech audiometry, aided audiometric testing, site of lesion, loudness growth testing, otoscopic screen, impedance and cerumen removal as needed.

Ph.D. or AU.D. in Audiology required

NY License required

Three to five years experience working in a Clinical setting
