We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Audit Administrative Assistant to support our Audit & Assurance team. This role plays a key part in ensuring audit engagements run efficiently by providing administrative, coordination, and document management support to partners, managers, and staff.
While most responsibilities will be performed in-office, this position offers some flexibility for remote work once training is complete and responsibilities allow.
This opportunity is available on a part-time and/or full-time basis, depending on candidate availability and firm needs.
Key Responsibilities
Audit & Engagement Support
Assist with audit engagement setup, coordination, and closeout
Prepare, organize, and maintain audit files and administrative documentation
Track engagement deadlines, confirmations, and required deliverables
Assist with client correspondence, including engagement letters and information requests
Support audit scheduling and coordination of team assignments
Document Management & Compliance
Maintain audit files in accordance with firm policies and professional standards
Ensure proper file organization, naming conventions, and version control
Assist with quality control reviews, peer review preparation, and compliance-related tasks
Monitor and follow up on missing documentation and outstanding items
Administrative & Office Support
Provide administrative support to audit partners and managers, including calendar management and meeting coordination
Assist with billing support, expense reports, and engagement-related tracking as needed
Support audit teams during peak periods, including busy season
Coordinate with other internal departments to support audit engagements
Communication & Confidentiality
Communicate professionally with clients and internal team members
Handle sensitive client and firm information with discretion and confidentiality
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
1–3 years of administrative or office support experience
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or a related field
Prior experience in a CPA firm, professional services firm, or accounting environment
Familiarity with audit or accounting terminology
Experience with document management systems or audit software
Work Environment & Schedule
Hybrid role: most work performed in-office with opportunity for limited remote work
Part-time and/or full-time schedules available
Flexibility during peak audit periods may be required
