What you will do:
As an Audit and Compliance Project Manager, you will manage multiple, concurrent, company-wide projects. These projects will be a blend of Product, Technology and Business projects. You will interact with various business units and all levels of the organization. You will utilize your unique blend of skills to drive assigned projects to successful completion by working with and overseeing the project tasks of various cross-functional groups that contribute to the delivery of the objectives and goals. Your goals will include ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and to agreed quality standards.
Lead & support complex, high quality operational, and compliance related to ITGC audits and special projects in a large multinational company that add value and deliver independent assurance/insight to Management and eXp’s Board concerning the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls. Develop and maintain adequate business acumen to fulfill Internal/external Audit responsibilities. Lead comprehensive effective risk assessments to appropriately set audit scope with focus on key areas of business risk.
Help to execute audit tests to deliver sufficient and compelling data/facts to support audit conclusion; at times responsible for oversight of testing and execution performed by other audit team members. Communicate (both written and spoken) audit findings and related recommended actions for areas tested to Internal Audit management and external Audits, and drive alignment on these issues with Management. Prepare written audit work papers which adequately address the nature, extent, and results of testing performed; may include oversight and quality reviews of work papers created by other audit team members. Perform follow-up with management on timely audit action closure.
In this role, your work will directly impact internal and external user’s day-to-day productivity. You must be able to balance the desired system “elegance” against the needs for rapid delivery.
Your focus will be:
Assist in the idea-intake process and shepherding ideas through request processing
Manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects, including scope, timeline, budget & quality to achieve project milestones and goals
Hold regular meetings with stakeholders for transparency and to communicate the status of ongoing audit projects
Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution
Effectively manage and communicate project status, risks, issues, and opportunities to stakeholders in a clear and concise fashion
Identify and manage project risks, issues, changes and collaborate with the project team to define and execute a mitigation plan
Understand and report on control exceptions and deficiencies.
Identify improvement opportunities and control enhancements.
Present results, both in written and verbal formats.
Continuously improve and provide feedback on PMO Project processes and templates.
Coordinate with internal, third-party vendors or customers to successfully execute milestones and project goals
Work independently and in a team environment to maximize performance.
Collaborate with Internal and External Audit teams to dispense evidence requests to the appropriate teams
Gain an understanding of eXp Realty’s tech stack and how different controls apply to eXp’s unique environment
Other Accountabilities as Assigned
In this role, you may be required to support various functions of the business as new projects launch and the requirements of the business units change. This role will have wide-ranging interactions across our functional and business units.
How you will grab our attention:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Business Administration
3-6 years experience
Master's degree preferred
Minimum of three to four years of working within a corporate internal audit or IT compliance function or as part of a professional services firm
3+ years demonstrated experience in Project Management & leading cross-departmental efforts
Experience in implementation of internal control processes and programs for IT. Proficiency in executing projects in accordance with leading practice project management principles
Ability to document work performed in a clear and succinct manner that is sufficiently supported by audit evidence
Experience with SOX compliance
Knowledge of audit methods and techniques
Knowledge of Mainframe environments
Competence with project management tools (i.e. Jira, Confluence, MS Project)
Understanding of agile development methodologies
Strong technical background
Strong interpersonal skills working with business and technical teams
Strong organizational and process management skills
Conflict resolution experience
Able to set and manage priorities
Ability to quickly come up to speed in dynamic, changing environments, including when you join a project midstream
Friendly and helpful demeanor
Experience with web applications and mobile applications
World-class facilitation and communication skills
