Located in Houston, Texas, this position offers a unique opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced professional to join a dynamic team focused on ensuring the quality and integrity of contractual agreements. Responsibilities: Contract Auditing: Conduct comprehensive audits of contracts to assess compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards. Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality assurance processes and procedures to safeguard the accuracy and completeness of contractual documents. Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and deficiencies in contracts and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks and improve overall contract quality. Documentation Review: Scrutinize contract documentation, including terms and conditions, pricing agreements, and legal provisions, to ensure accuracy and consistency. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with legal, procurement, finance, and other relevant departments to address contract-related issues and ensure alignment with business objectives. Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure contract quality and the effectiveness of quality assurance initiatives. Training and Development: Provide guidance and training to staff members on contract compliance requirements and best practices in quality assurance. Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging best practices in contract management and quality assurance. Propose and implement process improvements as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CIA, CFA) is a plus. Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract auditing, quality assurance, or a related field, preferably in the energy or utilities industry. Strong understanding of contract management principles, legal terminology, and regulatory compliance requirements. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex contractual agreements and identify discrepancies or risks. Proficiency in using contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management.
