HireNow Staffing is seeking a qualified Audit Manager or Staff Auditor to join a reputable and growing public accounting firm in Wisconsin. This is a local-only opportunity for candidates who can be onsite for client fieldwork and are looking to grow within a team-oriented and client-focused environment.

Position Overview:
This role involves leading or supporting audit engagements for a variety of clients, including nonprofit, governmental, and commercial entities. Candidates should have strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage or support all phases of audit engagements from planning through completion

• Perform risk assessments and develop audit programs tailored to client operations

• Review and prepare workpapers, financial statements, and supporting documentation

• Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure clear understanding of audit progress and findings

• Supervise, train, and mentor junior staff (Audit Manager level only)

• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting and auditing standards

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field

• CPA license or eligibility preferred

• 2 - 5+ years of audit experience in public accounting

• Strong understanding of GAAP, GAAS, and other relevant accounting regulations

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Must be based in Wisconsin and available for onsite client work
