Job Description - Authorization Coordinator

\n\n \nAuthorization Coordinator\n\n \n\n \n\n \n\nGeneral Summary/Responsibilities:\n\n \n\nThe Authorization Coordinator will assist in the maintenance of the authorizations process, including obtaining initial pre-authorization, concurrent authorization, and follow-through with appropriate reimbursement issues.\n\n \n\nDimensions:\n\nAccounting Processes 200-250 referrals requiring authorization monthly.\n\nInterfaces with resource staff and third party payers.\n\nInterfaces with A/R and Intake department routinely.\n\nFIDRNOCT\n\n \n\nQualifications\n\nEducation\n\nMinimum Level of Education Required: High School completion / GED \n \nAdditional requirements: \n\uf0a7 Type of degree: N/A \n\uf0a7 Area of study or major: N/A \n\uf0a7 Preferred educational qualifications: N/A \n\uf0a7 Position specific testing requirement: N/A\n\nLicensure/Certification/Registration\n\n\uf0a7 N/A\n\nExperience\n\nMinimum Level of Experience Required: 1 - 3 years of job-related experience \nPrior job title or occupational experience: Experience in data entry required. \nPrior specific functional responsibilities: N/A \nPreferred experience: Two years managed care experience preferred. \nOther experience requirements: N/A\n\nKnowledge/Skills\n\n\uf0a7 Two years managed care experience preferred. \n\uf0a7 Home care experience a plus. \n\uf0a7 Experience in data entry required. \n\uf0a7 Self-motivated. \n\uf0a7 Ability to problem solve. \n\uf0a7 Excellent organizational and documentation skills required. \n\uf0a7 Excellent communication and customer relations skills required. \n \n\n\u00a7 Two years managed care experience preferred.\n\n\u00a7 Home care experience a plus.\n\n\u00a7 Experience in data entry required.\n\n\u00a7 Self-motivated.\n\n\u00a7 Ability to problem solve.\n\n\u00a7 Excellent organizational and documentation skills required.\n\n\u00a7 Excellent communication and customer relations skills required.\n
