Authorizations Coordinator

Job Title: Authorizations Coordinator 

Reports to: Manager of Revenue Cycle Management   

FLSA Class: Non-Exempt 

Job Type: Full-time   

Job Summary:
Coordinates all insurance authorizations for durable medical equipment for the company.   

Essential Functions: 

• Determine if any authorization(s) are needed in connection with DME eligibility and obtain 

preauthorization when required by insurance. 

• Contact insurance companies to verify/determine patient benefit eligibility as needed. 

• Initiate pre-authorization letters when required by the patient's insurance company. 

• Read computer files or gather records such as medical records to compile needed data. 

• Document patient records as per company policies and procedures. 

• Work effectively with other company employees, managers, and departments. 

• Perform all job functions with Company Mission, Vision, and Goal Statements in mind. 

• Assists with related special projects as  

• Performs other duties as assigned
