Auto Body Shop Apprentice / Porter

Clift Buick GMC is seeking a motivated Auto Body Apprentice / Body Shop Porter to join our award-winning collision repair team. This is a full-time position offering an excellent opportunity to build a career in the automotive collision industry while working alongside certified auto body and paint technicians.

Auto Body Shop Apprentice / Porter

Responsibilities

• Assist in moving vehicles into and out of the body shop and paint booths


• Wash, detail, and prepare vehicles for delivery to customers


• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the shop, paint areas, and equipment


• Support body and paint technicians with tasks such as disassembly, masking, sanding, and part preparation


• Inspect completed repairs and assist in quality control processes


• Deliver parts and materials between departments as needed


• Ensure all vehicles are properly tagged and parked in designated areas

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed to support daily operations of the collision center.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record


• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work


• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment


• Positive attitude and willingness to learn


• Previous experience in automotive service, detailing, or collision repair a plus, but not required


• Must pass physical and background check
