Auto Mechanic

Position Summary
The Automotive Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing mechanical issues, inspecting vehicles, and performing necessary repairs on vehicles being processed through the auction. This position also assists with fleet lease vehicle diagnostics and arbitration inspections.

Essential Job Responsibilities
● Examine vehicle systems to identify mechanical problems.
● Perform computerized diagnostic testing to identify malfunctioning components.
● Remove and replace worn or defective parts using new, used, or aftermarket components.
● Perform routine vehicle maintenance.
● Prepare repair estimates for unexpected or additional repairs.
● Diagnose mechanical issues on fleet lease vehicles.
● Perform arbitration inspections and re-checks.
● Complete assigned work accurately and within established time frames.
● Provide excellent customer service.
● Maintain organized records and follow up on assigned tasks.
