Auto Service Advisor

Position Overview:

The Dealership Service Advisor is a critical role that ensures clear communication between customers and the service department technicians. Our advisors listen closely to customer’s concerns and provide adequate recommendations for service. The primary responsibilities iclude greeting customers, explain repair and maintenance options, provide estimates to customers and ensure all repair orders are completed accurately and timely.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome customers as they arrive at the dealership, inquire about their needs and inform the customer about service options.


• Inform customers on preventative maintenance.


• Stay up to date on services offered and capabilities of the dealership service department and make recommendations.


• Keep customers informed on about the status of their vehicle repair and communicate any potential delays.


• Maintain accurate records of all repairs using the Dealership software.


• Follow-up with customers after service to ensure satisfaction and to get feedback.


• Recommend relevant service packages, maintenance plans, and accessories to customers to enhance vehicle performance and longevity.


• Assist staff members with administrative functions such as scanning, making copies and data entry.


• Generate and continuously strive to increase labor sales.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent


• Previous experience in a customer service role, in the auto industry preferred


• Experience with Dealership management systems such as DealerTrack, are a plus


• Professional appearance at all times


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Must be organized


• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications


• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening


• Valid Driver's License is required
