Automotive Technician Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and knowledgeable Automotive Technician. In this role, you will inspect and repair vehicles and make recommendations for automotive Diagnostics Repairs and Maintenance.
The Automotive Technician will also answer customer questions, inform customers about shop products and services [if called on from the office], and adhere to vehicle safety protocols.
Automotive Technician Duties and Responsibilities
- Job description: includes but not limited to the following
- Check vehicles to ensure compliance with state inspection requirements
- Perform routine automotive maintenance, such as oil changes and tire rotations
- Diagnose Noises and Drivability concerns
- Identify pre-existing and potential vehicle malfunctions
- Test vehicle parts prior to installation/repair
- Keep accurate records of jobs
- Consistently meet deadlines for completed work

Automotive Technician Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- ASE Certification preferred [Active certs.]
- At least 3 years of previous experience in a related role
- Extensive experience with various hand tools and diagnostic equipment preferred
- EPA cert preferred [AC]
- A1-thru-A9 + L1,L2 [preferred]
