Job Summary
We are seeking an Autobody Technician to join our team! This is a FULL TIME position with Benefits (Health, Dental, and Retirement) and high commission pay. Pay ranges of our technicians are based on productivity and experience. The $60,000 - $90,000 pay range is a starting commission and has potential to go higher as the commission is uncapped! We believe in working smart and efficient to make great money. During our interview we can review examples of technician's earnings at our shop.

We are seeking an individual with at least 5+ years experience in automotive collision repair. Individual will be working on multiple repair projects at once, and working closely with coworkers to ensure work is completed properly and on time. The ideal candidate would be self-motivated, hardworking, with good communication skills, and strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Repair body damage on automobiles, boats, and other motor vehicles
- Repair vehicles / boats to the best of your ability, maintaining Hassis Paintworks high quality standards
- Work within the guidelines of various insurance guidelines
- Perform quality inspections prior to returning the vehicle / boat to the customer
Qualifications
- Previous autobody repair experience - MINIMUM of 5 years.
- Previous marine collision repair experience - NOT required but definitely a PLUS
- Quality Driven and Detail-Oriented
- Knowledge of shop equipment
- Good Organization Skills
- Able to Multi-task
- Positive Attitude
- Self-Motivated & Reliable
- Must Have Your Own Tools
- I-Car Certified - Not Required but Definitely a PLUS. (Training & Classes Also Provided)

The owner, Chris Hassis, was born in Stillwater and has lived in this area his whole life. He has always loved to fix things. When he was younger, you could always find him breaking off pieces of his matchbox cars, painting them, and then putting them back together. Plus, he's always loved the water - there's not a better seat to watch Stillwater's 4th of July Fireworks then sitting on your boat with your friends and family.
Chris graduated from Northwest Metro Technical College as an Auto Body Technician in 1996. He worked locally at both Schnoovers and Bayport Marina. He has over 25+ years of experience in the marine and automotive repair industry. After being laid off due to the slow economy in 2008, Chris decided to start his own company, Hassis Paintworks. The company started out as strictly a mobile service - traveling to the different marinas and dealerships for repairs. In 2013, Hassis Paintworks opened their first shop in Stillwater. Early 2016, Hassis Paintworks relocated to a larger facility in Stillwater to allow for larger boats and to add automotive repairs.
Early 2017, Hassis Paintworks added a new state of the art AFC Paint Booth and added the automotive department for collision repairs. Most of our technicians started in the automotive industry and were then trained for the marine industry. This made the transition between automotive and marine repairs seamless within our repair facility.
In 2023, Hassis Paintworks added an 8,500 square feet addition to their current facility in Stillwater to accommodate more work and the larger boats.
We are a full service automotive and marine collision repair facility. We take pride in our work, which is reflected in our referrals. All of the business that was generated prior to opening the shop was strictly from referrals, which definitely says something about Chris' work and his company.
Hassis Paintworks currently works with many dealerships, marinas, and insurance companies within the Twin Cities and St. Croix Valley area. Our attention to detail shows in all of our work and particularly in the quality of our work.
