Job Details

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled AutoCAD Drafter with expertise in the utility industry, specifically in the design and drafting of above ground and underground utility poles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AutoCAD software, possess knowledge of utility pole construction standards and regulations, and demonstrate exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with engineering teams to create detailed designs and drawings for above ground and underground utility poles.
Develop accurate and comprehensive plans, elevations, and cross-sections using AutoCAD software.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines throughout the drafting process.
Review and interpret technical specifications, surveys, and other project documentation to inform drafting decisions.
Coordinate with project managers and field personnel to address design modifications and resolve any discrepancies.
Maintain organized files and documentation to support project deliverables and revisions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in drafting, engineering, or related field.
Proficiency in AutoCAD software with a minimum of 3 years of experience in utility drafting.
Strong understanding of utility pole design principles, construction techniques, and industry standards.
Familiarity with relevant codes and regulations such as NESC, NEC, and local building codes.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality assurance.
Prior experience in the utility industry or related field is preferred.
