Automated Bending Machine Operator

Financially sound and growing metal fabricator of commercial kitchen ventilation systems has an immediate opening for an:

Exceptional worker as a full-time Machinist running a P4 automated bending machine
Scheduled working hours of Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm with some overtime required
Satisfactory background check and negative drug screen required

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform work according to safety & quality standards and procedures


• Work effectively as a team member contributing to a positive workplace


• Finished work is expected to be neat, orderly, and repeatable per quality and safety guidelines


• Ensuring workspace is clean, safe and organized

• Set an example for all employees in all areas including but not limited to attendance, good attitude, housekeeping, inventory, productivity, safety, quality, etc.

• Work with supervisor, safety coordinator, engineering staff and management to resolve and/or prevent issues


• Limit/reduce overtime on machine. Goal is to strive for zero overtime


• Reduce scrap/material waste


• Work towards reducing quality issues within department


• Maintain or exceed production goals set by plant/production management and supervisor.

• Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) on all bent/sheared parts, each day.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Experience operating automated bending equipment is preferred


• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. independently


• Capable of following directions


• Ability to use power and hand tools


• Safety & quality oriented


• Ability to work 8-10hrs per day (6:00am-2:30/4:30pm)


• Capable of operating a forklift

Proficiency in English and basic math skills are an essential job function.

Education
Graduation from a standard high school or vocational school 
Additional training or experience is acceptable

Pay Rate: $20+ Based on experience- knowledge of Cincinnati machine a plus!!.
